I missed this teview when it came out so this is all new ground to me! A good rationale for reposts in general methinks. Excellent ideas propounded in it- nature, as always is our teacher it seems, a datum the author is quick to pick up on.
Mightier than the planet itself? We’d like to think so, but alas it is untrue. We’re not even mightier than ourselves. The mindless monster we’ve become as a humanity, completely out of anyones’ control, is in its swansong now, a sharp correction imminent for us just based on the pedestrian math involving supplies of key resources relative to the colossal demand. But that’s only one key detail and far from the only one. Our days in this configuration at this scale are numbered, which is entirely logical.

The first thing nature would do - and will do - is return us to our proper scale on this earth.
She'll try but we've grown so over-mighty and resourceful that she'll fail, more's the pity.

It’s a very positive, yet balanced and inspiring book in my view. Thanks for reminding me to reread it.
