Very interesting first impressions! I have never been to India, though my sibling has spent time in Pune, Nashik, and Kolhapur and flew in through Mumbai.
I love this stream-of- consciousness report, surprisingly easy to read. In big contrast to other text written in this style. Maybe it's more structured that the usual stream-of- consciousness reports.
My big takeaway from this first dispatch is your quote, "I could see a lot of evidence of a growing, progressing society" that's very hopeful! The exact day you published this, I was on the Oregon coast helping four Punjabi tourists extricate their Lexus rental car from wet sand on the beach where they had dug themselves into the axles. No one was helping them plus the tide was coming in about fifty feet away! I used a snow shovel I keep in the trunk of my car.. long story short we got them out, they learned how treacherous wet sand can be and we made friends with namaste' s and they called me "bra" which I understand means "brother". In their language!
I remember driving on the Oregon beaches with a car. I don't drive a car regularly, so that was a lot of fun. I try to remember if it was Arch Cape or Rockaway Beach.

Looking forward to more updates and insight!
Thank you!

My experience was at Lincoln City 🙂
Ah, ok. I see. Thank you for sharing. Remembering the Oregon Coast makes me always happy. Next time riding the Florence Sand dunes in a beach buggy 🤪
