Slowly working my way downward and upwards through my mails received during the time I was "under the weather". To top off my woes, I got reinfected with Covid! The fun never stops! Anyway, I really enjoyed this repost and especially appreciate the obvious work you put into it. It's a classic. Five stars!

Lots of interesting rabbit trails to follow here! The point is a good one, that while technology and medicine may insulate us from some of the types of impacts of climate change humans faced 1700 years ago, we are still in for quite a ride. It was eye-opening how many impacts resulted from just a few years of global cooling (and how many more we’ll never know about). Future historians are going to have a field day tracing the repercussions of our current heating.

Also, how was “The World”? Would you recommend your readers schedule a block of time to read it in 2024? It looks intriguing...
